Golfer Patrick Reed was born August 5th, 1990 in San Antonio, Texas. He attended college at Augusta State where he majored in Pre-Business and made his PGA debut in 2011. Reed currently resides in Spring, Texas, is six foot, 200 pounds and says that Tiger Woods is his favorite athlete. While in school he was chosen for the recipient of the UGA Men’s Golf Endowed Scholarship. His best golf memory was going 6-0 in match place and also participating in helping Augusta State win two National Championships. Patrick Reed’s favorite place to play golf is Pebble Beach Golf Course.
Reed has had many years of success during his amateur days before going Pro. Some of these achievements include being selected for the Rolex All- American three years in a row in 2005, 2006, and 2007. In 2007, he received second place in the Terra Cotta Invitational, Cardinal and St. Augustine Amateurs, and qualified for the 2007 and 2008 United States Amateurs. In 2008, Patrick Reed finished third in the Greystone Invitational Amateur, tenth in the Azalea Amateur and qualified for the United States Junior Championship. In 2012, he received eleventh place in the Frys.com Open with a score of -11, fifth place in the Rayburn Country Open (Adams Pro Series). He took first place in the PGA Tour Q-School First Stage that took place in Kingwood, Texas and the PGA Tour Q-School 2nd Stage that took place in Humble, Texas. In 2013, he placed seventh in the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am with a score of -12 and having a total of $209,625 in earnings. His fiance Justine, is his caddie.
