Walker was born January 16th, 1979 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. His father, a scratch golfer, taught him the game of golf and after finishing High School he attended college at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He is 180 pounds, 6ft, 2 in in height and currently lives in San Antonio, Texas with his wife Erin. He made his PGA debut in 2001.
Starting in 2001 with his biggest thrill in golf, was playing in the U.S. Open, Walker began his career. In 2003 and 2004 he played on the Nationwide Tour as a full time participant. Also, in 2004 he met his wife Erin who was a tournament volunteer at the Web.com Tour, he was named the Nationwide Tour money winner and player of the year. In achieving this title he received his PGA Tour card. In 2005, Jimmy Walker only made six cuts due to an injury. Moving on he then played 21 PGA Tour events in 2006. In 2007, he left the PGA Tour and went back to the Nationwide Tour. He took 25th place on the Nationwide Tours money list which earned him back his PGA Tour card for the 2008 year. In 2009, he ranked 125th on the money list and received his card for the 2010 season, then took third place at the Valero Texas Open. 2011 was his best season yet, within this year he earned his best finish yet when he finished 50th in the FedEx Cup standings and received four top-ten finishes.
When Walker is not golfing you will find him taking pictures and traveling with his family and their dog, Divot.
